CONGREGATIONAL CARE

Congregational Care at Covenant Church exists to walk alongside individuals and families with the love, comfort, and compassion of Christ. We believe no one should face life’s challenges alone, and our care ministries are designed to offer presence, prayer, and practical support in every season. Whether through a visit, a card, a shawl, or a quiet moment of shared prayer, we seek to reflect the heart of Jesus to those who need encouragement, hope, and connection.

WHAT YOU'LL FIND HERE

Visitation

Our visitation team provides gentle, Christ-centered care to those recovering from illness, navigating medical challenges, or simply needing companionship. Whether in the hospital, a care facility, or at home, we show up with prayer, encouragement, and a listening ear. These visits remind our members that they are deeply loved, never forgotten, and held close by their church family. In every conversation and every moment of presence, we aim to bring comfort, peace, and the assurance of God’s nearness.

Bereavement Care

When loss touches a family, Covenant walks with them. Our bereavement care team offers support for families experiencing loss, offering comfort, support, and practical assistance during the grieving process. In the midst of pain, we seek to reflect Christ’s promise of comfort and the steady love of a community that stands together.

WHAT YOU'LL FIND HERE

Prayer Ministry

Prayer is at the heart of congregational care. Our Prayer Ministry lifts the needs of our church family, those who are hurting, healing, grieving, or simply seeking God’s guidance. It centers our church on the presence of God, aligns us with His will, and strengthens every ministry we carry out. Whether through written prayer requests, quiet intercession, or intentional moments of prayer during visits, we seek to surround each person with the peace and presence of Christ.

WHAT YOU'LL FIND HERE

Card & Shawl Ministry

The Card and Shawl Ministry shares Christ’s love through simple, meaningful gifts of encouragement. Handmade cards and knitted prayer shawls are delivered to those facing illness, grief, or difficult seasons, tangible reminders that they are surrounded by care and lifted in prayer. Each stitch and each word carry warmth, hope, and the assurance that Covenant is praying for them and walking with them.

“Carry one another's burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”

Galatians 6:2
