I QUIT: WAITING

Apr 8, 2026    Patrick Griffey

In this week’s Wednesday Rewind, Patrick reflects on the conclusion of our I Quit sermon series, where Pastor Darren encouraged us to quit waiting and take the step to follow Jesus. While the message on Easter Sunday focused on those who have not yet chosen to pursue Christ, this rewind challenges believers to consider what they may still be waiting to surrender.

Looking at Mark 9:19–24 and the honest prayer, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief,” Patrick reminds us that faith is a lifelong journey of sanctification. Even biblical figures like Moses, Abraham, and Peter experienced moments of doubt despite powerful encounters with God. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit and the fullness of Scripture, we are continually being shaped and called deeper into relationship with Christ.

As the I Quit series comes to a close, take time to ask: What is God calling you to quit? What step of obedience or surrender have you been putting off? Whether it is letting go of something holding you back or stepping into something God has been calling you toward, our prayer is that you continue to grow in faith and experience a deeper relationship with Him.
