I QUIT: HOLDING ONTO THE PAST
In this week’s Wednesday Rewind, Patrick Griffey reflects on Pastor Darren’s message from our I Quit series: “I Quit Holding on to the Past.”
Many of us carry the weight of our past—mistakes we’ve made, things we regret, or even the wrongs others have done to us. But the gospel reminds us that our past does not define our future. Looking at the powerful transformation of the Apostle Paul and Jesus’ parable of the workers in the vineyard (Matthew 20:1–16), we’re reminded that God’s grace is for everyone—no matter when they come to Him.
This episode challenges us not only to stop dwelling on our own past, but also to extend grace to others whose stories may still be unfolding. If Christ can transform someone like Saul into the Apostle Paul, then no one is beyond redemption.
Watch this week’s Wednesday Rewind and be encouraged to release the past, forgive freely, and walk in the grace that Christ offers.
