Director of Production

Reports to Executive Pastor

Classification: Full-Time

Position Overview: The Director of Production oversees all audio, video, lighting, and live-streaming needs of the entire campus for Sunday worship services, ministry events, and special events, with an emphasis on audio. The Director of Production works with pastors, worship & music teams, and other ministry areas to effectively communicate their ministry objectives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Run audio for Sunday morning worship services, rehearsals, and churchwide events.
  • Oversee, lead, and develop production volunteer teams.
  • Recruit, train, and schedule volunteer media teams for worship services and special events in collaboration with pastors and church staff.
  • Maintain and/or improve production equipment at campus.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Director on Covenant branding, and videos.
  • Help produce weekly/monthly student ministry worship services.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Executive Pastor and the Senior Pastor.

  • Familiar with live audio mixing skills with contemporary/modern (band and singers) and traditional (orchestra and choir) environments.
  • Familiar with Midas soundboards.
  • Familiar with Planning Center, ProPresenter and other presentation software (Ableton/Logic is a plus).
  • Familiar with video switching, video systems and livestreaming.
  • Familiar with lighting systems is a plus.
  • Continued growth in technical knowledge is required.

The Director of Production position is employed by the Staff Parish Relations Committee and shall work under the supervision of the Executive Pastor. 

Education and Experience: This position requires a strong spiritual background and commitment to the church and to the ministry of the church.  A degree in Audio/Video Production, Media Arts, or related field is preferred. The candidate must have a proven track record of effective leadership, judgment, and character that is above reproach.
